Nature Preserve

The Natural Choice

Come home to authentic Colorado. Expansive skies, majestic mountain views and wide-open spaces – Colorado treasures that most can only experience by leaving the city – are abundant within the Marjorie Perry Nature Preserve:

• 55-acres of estuaries, ponds, and trails
• plenty of beautiful areas with cottonwood trees
• wildlife including fox, blue heron and eagles

Nature Preserve

Scenic, Convenient Trails

The Highline Canal Trail, one of Denver’s longest trails measuring more than 70 miles from start to finish, intersects The Preserve for 1.5 miles. The trail is a wide, meandering path that follows the Highline Canal from Waterton Canyon to Green Valley Ranch, near Denver International Airport.

A Historical Centerpiece

The original barn built by Marjorie Perry, the first land owner, is still visible next to one of the many ponds within the preserve. It is a reminder of the land’s significance and the dream that is shared by both Perry and The Preserve’s residents to honor nature’s gift and thrive in its midst.
